From the Editor

I have daffodils in my yard! We moved into this house last August so I didn’t know what the landscape would have for spring flowers. I’m so excited! To me, that is the sign that spring is here, despite recurring, though light, snow storms!

It’s also a time of renewal for me…a great time to freshen the house and regroup on my goals and daily routines. Lately, my focus has been on ‘balance.’ In order to be successful in the important areas of my life, I need to have a balance in everything. That includes balancing time for my health, my housekeeping, planning and making meals, time for children and husband, friends, spiritual growth, and work.

It’s so easy to become consumed with work deadlines that other areas of our lives get pushed back and neglected. I was just reading that ‘successful’ entreprenuers actually take a day off each week for a 24 full hours! Gasp! What a concept! No computer, no email, no work. Then they come back refreshed and more productive. Sometimes it takes hearing something again that you already knew to get you back in gear!

We have an enormously talented staff of Contributing Editors who have filled this magazine with tons of inspiration and how-to’s. I hope this helps to get YOU in gear with new ideas and ways to document your precious memories and enjoy them with your family.

I wish you all a happy new Spring (or whatever season you are coming into in your part of the world!) Take time to enjoy the changes and the growth in the world around you and in yourselves!
